Jackes leads PH’s Asian Karting Open bid

/ 01:41 AM May 18, 2013

FLYNN Jackes will lead the Philippine bid in the 2013 Asian Karting Open Championships today at Carmona Racetrack in Cavite.

Jackes, the reigning Mini-ROK champion, is bent on clinching the Asian Mini-ROK crown for the Philippines in the five-leg series.  He came close to winning last year following his victory in the Macau kickoff.  But his disappointing show in the last two rounds, both hosted by Indonesia, gave Barichello Noor the victory.  Jackes eventually finished third behind Keanon Santoso.

Other Filipinos competing are Tai Zulberti, Dylan Arambulo, Jacob Ang, Wils Casequin, Mikey Jordan, Sean Draeco McLelland, Jose Luigi Lachica, Bianca Denise Bustamante, EJ Coseteng, Larco Cortez, Julia delos Angeles, Jarred Kim and Bobby Redpath.

Spicing up the event is the third round of the Coca-Cola KF2-KF3 Cup Series where Vencer John Suba tries to preserve his lead in the KF2 class.  Steve Silva, Contributor
