THE NBA Global Games featuring the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers this October guarantees a “US experience” worth the pricey tickets.

“This is historically significant, so I’m sure many will be excited to be part of it,” NBA Asia country manager Carlo Singson said in a press conference yesterday at Mall of Asia (MOA).

The first NBA preseason game in Southeast Asia is set at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 10 at MOA Arena with tickets ranging from P550 to as much as P32,300.

“The atmosphere in an NBA game is different from anything you’ve experienced before, if you haven’t been into one,” said Singson. “It’s non-stop entertainment and action.”

Tickets will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. on June 16 with the premium A (P32,300) and premium B (P27,000) seats coming with limited edition NBA merchandise and meals.

Other seats are pegged at section C (P8,400), section D (P4,200) and section E (P550). Tickets for the games are available at SM Ticket outlets and online at www.smtickets.com

“It’s like bringing the US experience to Manila,” said Nicole Deato, marketing and sponsorship head of MOA Arena and SM Tickets.

Both teams feature some of the league’s most exciting players led by Olympian James Harden and Taiwanese-American Jeremy Lin of the Rockets and All-Star players Paul George and Roy Hibbert of the Pacers, who are battling defending champion Miami Heat for the NBA Eastern Conference crown.

Aside from the blockbuster game, Singson said fans can still get a chance to see the basketball stars in NBA Cares events and fan activities also scheduled in Manila.

“People who may not be able to watch the games live still have a chance to meet the players or interact with them,” said Singson.
