MANILA, Philippines — Jose Rizal University squandered a 20-point lead before salvaging an 83-72 win over a resilient Mapua side Monday in the 89th NCAA Season at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The Heavy Bombers lost a 41-21 lead it built in the second quarter but regrouped behind the sweet-shooting Philip Paniamogan.
Paniamogan found his touch just in time as he uncorked a barrage of treys en route to 24 points on seven threes, four in the fourth quarter.
