Super Liga KO semis on

TMS-PHILIPPINE Army takes on the only team that it has yet to defeat even as Cignal hopes to sustain its winning ways in the semifinals of the Philippine Super Liga women’s volleyball tournament today at MOA Arena.

The Lady Troopers finally get a chance to avenge their only loss so far  when they collide at 5 p.m. with the Cagayan Valley Rising Suns, who couldn’t sustain a big start and needed a playoff win over PLDT MyDSL to stay alive.

Cignal and Petron Blaze dispute the other title slot at 5 p.m. with the HD spikers favored by virtue of their 25-22, 25-17, 25-23 win in the eliminations.

After Cagayan’s marathon five-set win over Army, 25-23, 25-27, 26-24, 14-25, 15-12, the Lady Troopers took their next four elimination-round matches to land the first outright semifinal berth.

The Lady Rising Suns, on the other hand, suffered two setbacks in a row before beating PLDT My DSL.
