Phil, James Younghusband bare Clear rosters
Boasting stellar lineups, Phil and James Younghusband expect an explosive encounter when their teams collide in the Clear Dream Match on Aug. 24 at the University of Makati football field.
Team Phil, which won the match last year, and Team James finalized their respective rosters for the second edition of the star-studded match following four weeks of online voting.
Phil picked the versatile Carli de Murga as his first choice, while James chose defender Yves Ashime.
A prolific scorer himself, Phil bolstered his attack with the selection of Jinggoy Valmayor, Chris Greatwich, Byeong Jeong Yeol, Park Min Ho, Jeff Christaens and OJ Porteria.
Patrick Deyto and Chad Gould, Masanari Omura, Byeong Yeol Jeong, Boyet Canedo, Anton Del Rosario, Nick O’Donnel, Sam YG, Mikko Mabanag, Armand Del Rosario and Ronald Batisla Ong are also part of Team Phil, which has UFL top scorer Rufo Sanchez as the wild card pick.
Composing Team James are Jason De Jong, Misagh Bahadoran, Saba Garmaroudi, Oussenyou Diop, Roxy Dorlas, Tony Toni, Chieffy Caligdong, Nico Bolzico, Jonah Romero, Ian Araneta, Simon Greatwich, Andrew Santiago, Daniel Matsunaga, Fabio Ide, Slick Rick and Ref Cuaresma. Izzo Elhabib is the wild card choice.
