MANILA, Philippines — Cagayan and Philippine Air Force notched with separate straight set wins in the 10th Shakey’s V-League Open Conference on Friday at the Arena in San Juan.

Air Force dealt undermanned SMART-Maynilad another loss, 25-22, 25-18, 25-17, to pick up their second victory as three Airwomen scored in double digits.

Maika Ortiz led the Airwomen with 16 markers while Judy Caballejo and Joy Cases shared 12 and 10 markers, respectively.

League-leader Cagayan Valley, meanwhile, cruised to their fifth win with a 25-16, 25-17, 25-22, downing of Far Eastern University.

Kannika Thipachot, the tournament’s leading scorer thus far, churned out 14 points — all but one off hits — to carry the Lady Rising Suns.
