MANILA, Philippines — Air Force solidified its bid for a playoffs spot, blanking Philippine Navy 25-18, 25-9, 25-16, Friday in the 10th Shakey’s V-League Open Conference at the Arena in San Juan.
Joy Cases spearheaded the Airwomen’s attack with 18 points, two on blocks, as they moved closer to a quarterfinals berth with a 3-2 record.
Judy Ann Caballejo added 10 points and registered 10 digs for Air Force.
No one from the Lady Sailors’ side, meanwhile, notched double-digit points with Cecile Cruzada leading with just seven while Chris Rosale and Mikmik Laborte with six each.
Navy dropped to 1-4.
