Striegl favored vs Korean
MARK Striegl couldn’t restrain himself from shooting glances at the shimmering Pacific Xtreme Combat championship belt. It could be his tonight.
Striegl will step into the cage with Korean Jang Yong Kim for the vacant featherweight title in PXC39 at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
“I’m aggressive in the cage and I’ll try to win the belt for the country on Saturday night,” said the Filipino-American.
The Baguio City-based Striegl clearly has the edge, having won all of his 12 fights, 10 of them by submission.
The flashy Jang thinks he has already won the 145-pound title even before the fight.
“I have trained a long time and I’m definitely sure I’m going to win,” said Jang during Thursday’s press conference organized by Sports5. June Navarro
