MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Army picked up where it left off as it repulsed Philippine National Police, 25-13, 25-23, 25-22, at the start of the quarterfinal round of the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 Open Conference Sunday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Army, one of the top teams in the elimination round, leaned on its veteran spikers to continue its winning ways.
Mary Jean Balse and Rachel Ann Daquis scored 15 points apiece with Daquis adding three blocks.
Janine Marciano led the Lady Patrollers with 12 points while Sangmuang Patcharee and Frances Molina chipping in 10 each.
