V-League: Valdez leads Smart win over Air Force

MANILA, Philippines – Smart exacted revenge on Air Force with a 25-23, 22-25, 25-15, 25-18 win at the start of the quarterfinals of the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 Open Conference Sunday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Alyssa Valdez unleashed 25 points for the Net Spikers, who avenged a straight-set loss to the Air Women in the elimination round.

Thai ace Lithawat Kesinee added 19 points for Smart.

With the loss, Air Force saw its five-game winning streak come to an end.
