The Philippines and China will be on the same side in the “Fight For Peace” card to be presented by Club S on Oct. 23 at Resorts World Manila Newport Performing Arts Theater.

Promoted by World Team USA and Wulin Feng of China, the 12-fight card will showcase top Filipino and Chinese mixed martial arts aces against some of the most ferocious fighters from the United States, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia and Canada.

Submission specialist Eugene Toquero of Submission Sports Philippines, undefeated in his four MMA outings, faces Dennis Salazar of World Team USA in their 58 kg bout while Chinese bantam Wu Tieyin and New Zealand’s Kaiwhare France clash in another key fight.

Dames said Fight For Peace is the first of a series of events aimed at bringing Filipinos to the world stage while promoting peace.

“We want to help the Filipino fighter realize his dream of becoming an MMA champion,” said Club S managing director Jet Chan.

Other matches: Agustin Delarmino Jr. (6-0) vs. Jin Wenhao; Adamson Torbiso vs. Nobukai Okuizumi (JPN); Li Ning vs. Saiful Merican (MAL), Zhen Zhaoyu vs. Iman Omrani (IRN), Liu Dacheng vs. Matthew Richardson (CAN); Xie Lei vs. TJ Arcangel, Li Quiankun vs. Stephane Lentz (US).
