4 breeders pace ‘Bakbakan’
FOUR gamefowl breeders on winning streaks advanced to the grand finals of the NFGB National Bakbakan 11-Stag Derby slated Dec. 16 at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Aside from qualifying to the grand finals, Tady Palma, Ray Apostol and Boy Gamilla of Bulacan and Raffy Yulo of Negros Occidental share the P3-million prize for posting perfect seven wins each.
Six brand-new Toyota Hi-Lux pick-ups will be raffled off to all particiants on Dec. 16.
“Bakbakan” has attracted 4,600 entries with still 33 rounds remaining.
In Metro Manila, the national eliminations will be held on Nov. 22 at Pasay City Cockpit, Nov. 23 at Roligon and Nov. 28 at Pasig Square Garden. The semifinals is on Dec. 1 at Pasay cockpit.
Gamefowl breeders may also compete at Sta. Monica Cockpit in Novaliches on Nov. 25 and 30 and Dec. 2.
Other coming derbies: Malvar Cockpit (Nov. 16), Lucky Sports Center (Nov. 17) and Tanza Cockpit (Nov. 18).
