Big Chill keeps perfect D-League record
Big Chill gave cellar-dwelling Derulo Accelero no room to entertain any thought of an upset with a 75-56 rout yesterday to stay unbeaten in five games in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at Ynares Sports Arena.
The Superchargers pulled ahead early, 23-10, behind Reil Cervantes, before Janus Lozada and Jeckster Apinan took over in the second half to keep Derulo winless in six games.
“When it’s the leader versus the tailender, there’s more pressure,” said Big Chill coach Robert Sison.
NLEX also had an easy day against winless National University-Banco de Oro, posting an 84-71 decision for a 2-0 start.
Earlier, Jumbo Plastic dumped Arellano-Air 21, 81-55, for a third-best 4-1 record.
