Arcilla, Reyes forge PCA Open title showdown

TOP seed Johnny Arcilla and fourth-ranked Marc Reyes scored similar straight-sets wins over their respective semifinal rivals yesterday to arrange a title showdown in the 32nd Philippine Columbian Association (PCA) Open tennis championships at the PCA clay covered courts in Paco, Manila.

The match will be played tomorrow at 1 p.m. after the 11 a.m. women’s finals. Arcilla dispatched No. 7 Leander Lazaro, 6-4, 6-2, while Reyes defeated doubles partner and No. 2 Patrick John Tierro, 6-3, 6-3.
