Bigs dominate as Jumbo Plastic halts Hog’s Breath’s unbeaten run

MANILA, Philippines—Jumbo Plastic halted Hog’s Breath unbeaten run in the 2013 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup with an 87-70 win Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena.
The Giants flaunted their sheer edge in size to dominate the Razorbacks and rebound from Monday’s frustrating 78-82 loss to Cagayan Valley.
Jumbo Plastic used a 15-6 run to start the third quarter and stretched a six-point halftime lead to 59-44 on the way to their sixth win in eight games.
Big men Jason Ballesteros, Marion Magat and Jan Colina imposed their will in the paint as the Razorbacks fell to second spot behind new leader Big Chill.
With Hog’s Breath’s setback, no team remain undefeated.
Ex-pro Ballesteros led with 17 points and 17 rebounds, lanky Magat with 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Colina with 15 points, 9 rebounds.
