MANILA, Philippines — LeBron James knows what “The Rock” is cooking.
The four-time NBA Most Valuable Player has won virtually every basketball award, but what Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson gave him has fulfilled his childhood dream.
Johnson gave the two-time NBA Champion a World Wrestling Entertainment Championship belt that James eagerly presented to the world through his Instagram account Wednesday afternoon (Philippine time).
James made a tribute to Johnson’s entrance music emulating the wrestler’s famous line “If you smell what The Rock is cooking” and the trademark eyebrow raise.
“Special thanks to The Rock for making my childhood dream come true,” James posted on his Instagram account. “You have no idea how many couches and old mattresses I jumped off thinking I was one of y’all.”
The Heat small forward said that his wrestling idols were Johnson, the Ultimate Warrior, Sting, Legion of Doom, Goldberg and the Undertaker.
“I feel like a kid again,” James said.
