MANILA, Philippines – After leading Perpetual Help to its third straight Finals trip, Honey Royse Tubino fittingly took the NCAA Season 89 MVP award just moments before Game 2 of their championship series with the Lady Chiefs Monday.

Tubino, who was also named Best Scorer, fired 27 points in the Lady Altas’ thrilling five-set win in Game 1 last Friday.

Arellano’s CJ Rosario was named Best Attacker and the Lady Chiefs would certainly need her to put the pressure on the Lady Altas’ defense to forge a rubber match on Thursday.

A pair of College of St. Benilde Lady Blazers also garnered individual awards with Rica Jane Enclona and Djanel Welch Cheng bagging Best Digger and Best Setter, respectively. Enclona also earned the Best Receiver distinction.
