MYBall fives start playoffs, eye title slots

MANILA, Philippines – Teams fight for survival in the stepladder semifinals of the Growee-Mini Youth Ball (MYBall) Metro Invitationals starting Saturday at La Salle Green Hills Gym.

The winners in the knockout stage will advance against the LSGH Greenies, who swept the elimination round of the Contender (12-14 age group) and Mini (9-11 age group) divisions to earn outright championship berths.

National U, which finished third with a 5-2 record, will go up against No. 4 Don Bosco Technical Institute (3-4) in the Contender division at 11 a.m. today.

The survivor of the match will be back the next day at 3:50 p.m. to battle Ateneo-A, the No. 2 squad that finished just a game behind the Greenies at 6-1.
