MANILA, Philippines — Barangay Ginebra import Leon Rodgers isn’t going anywhere.

Ginebra board representative Robert Non dismissed reports Monday that Rodgers will be replaced by former Best Import Gabe Freeman.

“No,” Non answered in a text message to INQUIRER.net when asked whether Rodgers will be let go for Freeman.

An unimpeachable source also confirmed that Rodgers will stay as the Kings import, though the six-foot-five reinforcement is “under evaluation.”

Ginebra is currently at 1-2 with its lone win coming at the expense of Barako Bull in overtime before getting whipped by San Miguel Beer and San Mig Coffee in its last two games.

The workhorse Freeman led the Beermen to the Fiesta Conference in 2009 where he was also named Best Import.
