MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines arranged a meeting with home team Brazil in the girls’ finals of the 2014 Street Child World Cup in Rio De Janeiro.

The Filipino girls nipped Mozambique, 1-0, in the semifinals on a goal from Ronalyn of Payatas FC, while Brazil thrashed El Salvador, 5-0.

Complete names of the players are withheld due to child protection laws.

The finale will be played in Fluminense FC’s stadium.

Since the opening day, the Filipinos haven’t dropped a game in the girls’ division while their boy counterparts fell to Pakistan in the quarterfinals.

Last Saturday, the Filipinos blanked England, 6-0.

The Street Child World Cup, which was first held in 2010,  is a global movement aimed at giving street children the equal protection and opportunities that all children are entitled to.
