U18 ‘Tatluhan’ tilt tomorrow
PLAYGROUND basketball soars to new heights tomorrow when the 2014 Talk ‘N Text-SBP U18 3×3 Tatluhan Finals blasts off at Pearl Sports Complex in Harrison Plaza, Manila.
Evolving from sandlot skirmishes, the battle for three-on-three bragging rights acquires a global makeover when 20 four-man teams from all over the country take the floor after the 11 a.m. opening ceremony.
The top three teams will represent the country in the 3×3 Fiba World Tour-Asia Pacific Leg on July 19 and 20 at SM Megamall.
The top two will also qualify to the 3×3 Fiba World Championship in Tokyo in October.
“The tournament supports not only the development of the game here but also focuses on our youth, including those out of school,” said SBP executive director Sonny Barrios.
The winning team will get P35,000.
