MANILA, Philippines — If first impressions last, Barako Bull might just brought in the right import to breathe life into its flat-lining 2014 PBA Governors’ Cup campaign.

Allen Durham made sure the league knew about his arrival as the Energy ripped Batang Pier, 122-98, to end a five-game tailspin Sunday at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna.

Durham, who replaced Eric Wise after six games, scored 32 points, grabbed 24 rebounds and dished out 10 assists.

Barako Bull opened up a commanding lead early – closing the first 12 minutes of the game with a 38-20 advantage and never looked back en route to a smooth-sailing win.

The Batang Pier, who fell to 1-6, came off two heartbreaking losses to San Mig Coffee and San Miguel Beer where they squandered commanding leads. But this time, Globalport never got a taste of the lead.

The Energy banked on their hot shooting – making 13 out of their 24 attempts from deep.
