MANILA, Philippines — Meralco salvaged a win to at least end another disappointing campaign on a high note following a 123-95 win over Globalport in the PBA Governors’ Cup Saturday at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna.

Import Mario West collected 30 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists while Gary David topscored with 33 points on top of four assists for the Bolts, who finished second to the last in the standings with a 3-6 mark.

Meralco finished ninth in the Philippine Cup. The franchise made the quarterfinals in the Commissioner’s Cup but lost to eventual champion San Mig Coffee despite leading their best-of-three series 1-0.
