So resumes Italy title quest

TOP seed Wesley So resumes his quest for the ACP Golden Classic 2014 when he battles Georgian Baadur Jobava with the white pieces in the sixth round Friday night in Bergamo, Italy.

So (Elo 2744) leads the seven-man, all-GM field after five rounds with 3.0 points in four games, pacing Jobava (Elo 2713), who has 2.5. Jobava is poised to seize the temporary lead, however, as he is on the verge of winning over Hungarian Zoltan Almasi in their adjourned fifth round battle.
