‘RP’ Cobra triathlon envoys shine

Rudy Project ambassadors Joyette Jopson of Team David Salon and the Starting Line Tri Team of Gretchen Fullido, Shy Sison and Nicole De Guzman turned in impressive performances as they pulled off victories in their respective categories in the Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines triathlon in Cebu recently.

Jopson topped the Filipina elite category while the troika of Fullido, Sison and De Guzman dominated the all-female relay division of the annual 1.9K swim, 90K bike and 21K run event that drew some of the world’s top triathletes.

Other Rudy Project stalwarts also shone in the event with Banjo Norte of Alaska Tri Aspire finishing second in the Filipino elite category, Jenson Button placing runnerup in the 30-34 age group class, and Matteo Guidicelli ending up fifth in the 18-24 section.

Other RP “ambassadors” finishers were Pete and Jamie Jacobs, Team Pangilinan with Dyan Castillejo, Arland Macasieb, Monica Torres, Piolo Pascual, Pia Cayetano and Kim Atienza of Team Gotta.
