Anvaya triathlon unfolds Oct. 18

THE 7TH Anvaya Cove Invitational Triathlon may just draw some of the sport’s big names as it stages a standard-distance race for the first time on Oct. 18 and 19 at the picturesque Anvaya Cove Beach and Nature Club (ACBNC) in Morong, Bataan.

Expect a a more competitive field as the annual event features its first standard-distance course (1.5K swim-40K bike-10K run) marked by a tough, hilly bike ride.

The event also features a sprint (750m swim-20K bike-5K run) and mini-sprint (500m swim-9K bike-2.5 K run) events.

But the fun continues for budding triathletes with the SuperTriKids competition, which features short-distance races for participants aged 9-10 and 11-12 years old, and the aquathlon race for kids aged eight and below.

Discounted registration fees will be offered until Aug. 31 in the sprint and mini-sprint categories (P3,000), standard distance (P3,500), sprint relay (P6,500) and the SuperTriKids (P1,000).  For inquiries, call 0921-9954764, 7108259 or 3996598.  Jasmine W. Payo
