Sun Jr badminton Minda leg up Oct. 3

THE LAST of three legs of the 1st Sun Cellular-Ming Ramos National Juniors Badminton tournament goes to Mindanao on Oct. 3 to 5 in General Santos City.

More than 800 have participated so far in the Luzon (Manila) and Visayas (Cebu) legs of the Philippine Badminton Association-sanctioned event.

The competition aims to discover talents from GenSan, Davao, Surigao, Cagayan De Oro, Basilan, Zamboanga and Agusan.

Leg champions of the competition organized by Forthright Events will represent their regions in the Manila national finals.

The tournament backed by Sun Cellular, Smart Communications, Manny V. Pangilinan Sports Foundation, Smash Pilipinas and Babolat will have contests in boys’ and girls’ singles for U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 and boys’, girls’ and mixed doubles for U-15, U-17 and U-19.  For inquiries, call 0932-8740454 or 0998-5110454.
