Faves dominate Shell youth chess

Top-seeded Kevin Arquero, Aglipay Oberio, Ricardo Batcho and Virgen Gil Ruaya scored 5.5 points each after six rounds as they continue to dominate the 22nd Shell National Youth Active Chess Championships’ Northern Luzon leg at University of Saint Louis in Tuguegarao over the weekend.  Fancied bets also showed the way in kiddies’ play with No. 1 seed Istraelito Rilloraza, No. 2 Darry Bernardo and seventh ranked Eric Labog sweeping their first six matches for a one-point lead over 12 others
