Anniversary Derby tomorrow at Elorde
THE MUCH-AWAITED 4-cock Anniversary Derby will be held tomorrow at Elorde Cockpit Stadium in Sucat, Parañaque.
Promoted by businessman/sportsman Johnny Elorde, the derby has a guaranteed prize of P300,000. The entry fee is P11,000 with a minimum bet of P5,500.
The handler and the gaffer of the winning entry will receive P20,000 and P10,000 respectively.
Expected to participate are Atty. Astorga, Bay-bay, Alex Tobias, Nene Aguilar, Teves Bro’s-Biñan Laguna, Silver Mallet-Jessie Marquez, Wolverine, Marlon and Buyog.
Weights required are 1.8 to 2.4 kg. Submission and declaration of weights will be done today. For inquiries, call the Elorde office at 8264463 and 8259385.
Meanwhile, a 1-cock “Ulutan” will be held every Monday and Tuesday while regular derbies are slated from Wednesday to Sunday.
