MANILA, Philippines –Thai fighter Kwanpichit OnesongchaiGym drew comparisons to Manny Pacquiao in terms of looks but his similarities with the Filipino ring icon should stop there.

Chinese sensation Zou Shiming overcame a swollen and bloodied left eye to outclass OnesongchaiGym in the co-featured bout prior to the Pacquiao-Algieri main event on Sunday at The Venetian in Macau.

The 33-year-old Shiming, fought with his left eye completely shut in the latter rounds due to an accidental head butt in the middle rounds, sent the Thai to the canvass four times.

Shiming, China’s most celebrated amateur boxer having won two Olympic gold medals, is also trained by Manny Pacquiao’s Hall-of-Fame trainer Freddie Roach. Filipino referee Danrex Tapdasan was the third man in the ring.
