UNTV Cup: Patriots eye No. 2
THE MALACAÑANG Patriots shoot for their second straight win when they clash with the Department of Justice Boosters even as the House of Representatives Solons make their debut against the Bureau of Fire Protection Firefighters in the 3rd UNTV Cup at University of Makati gym tomorrow.
Coming off a 70-65 win over the Firefighters, the Patriots are heavy favorites when they clash with the Boosters at 3:30 p.m.
Marlon Berganio, Samuel Ignacio and Greg Malapit will lead Malacañang.
Bannered by San Juan City Vice Mayor Francis Zamora and Iloilo Rep. Niel Tupas, the Solons are likewise favored over the Firefighters in their 5 p.m. duel.
The Senate Defenders hope to bounce back from their shock defeat to the Judiciary Magis when they tangle with the National Housing Authority Builders at 2 p.m.
The champion team in the annual event organized by broadcaster Daniel S. Razon of UNTV will receive P1.5 million which will be donated to a chosen beneficiary.
