Globalport rules the roost

RELENTLESS on offense, Philippine-Globalport routed Royal Selangor-Malaysia, 10-3, to capture the crown in the Thailand Polo Association’s SPP Polo Cup in Bangkok recently.

Team captain Mikee Romero, Adrian Garcia and Nicolai Galindo fired three goals each to turn back the squad bannered by the famed polo-playing Mazlan brothers Ali and Omar.

“We’re so eager to settle the game, that’s why we attacked and attacked their lair,” said Romero. “That opened opportunities for us to score and we did.”

Ricardo Garcia, son of Philippine Sports Commission chair Richie Garcia, also scored a goal to round out PH-Globalport’s scoring spree.
