Lady Falcons crush Tigresses, gain finals

Adamson stayed in the hunt for another title as it blasted University of Sto. Tomas, 7-0, Friday to clinch a finals berth in the 2014 Cebuana Lhuillier National Intercollegiate Championship at Sto. Niño softball field in Marikina.

Having swept their matches in the group phase, the Lady Falcons kept their fiery form in dumping the Tigresses, who entered the match as the second best squad in Group B.

The win set Adamson up for a finals duel with National University today.

But while Adamson’s victory was expected, NU’s rise came as a shock as it pipped unbeaten University of the Phil-ippines, 4-3, in the other semifinal tiff.

UP and UST clash for third place.

Backing the tourney spearheaded by Asaphil president Jean Henri Lhuillier are Marikina Mayor Del de Guzman, Cebuana Pera Padala, Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Solutions, Phiten, Just Jewels and Le Soleil de Boracay.
