After the Kia Sorento became the victims of PBA bully ball, the newcomers are expected to sign one big guy from South America.

Kia team manager Eric Pineda told Spin.ph that Pacquiao gave his blessing to sign Ramos.

“What coach Manny wants is someone who can block some shots,” Pineda said.

Kia’s current roster has two players reaching the 6-foot-6, Kyle Pascual and Mike Burtscher but their frontline has been prone to the abuse of the physical PBA.

Ramos’ most recent national tiff was with the 2010 Puerto Rican team at the Fiba World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey where he averaged 10.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
