Josh Davis loses smartphone to pickpocket

MANILA, Philippines–Josh Davis led Meralco to an upset 85-74 victory over Barangay Ginebra in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup last night bit quickly lost the elation on the way to his service vehicle.

Walking past a horde of fans waiting to see the players come out of the Mall of Asia Arena, Davis lost his smartphone to a pick pocket while some fans were trying to get photos with him.

Officials of the Meralco team were on the scene, waiting to file a report to authorities

Just last year, a similar incident took place involving all-time great Johnny Abarrientos.

Abarrientos, an assistant of Tim Cone at Purefoods, also posed for photographs with some fans only for a pickpocket to get a hold of his wallet inside his shoulder bag.

That pickpocket fan, though, was tracked down after one fan was able to capture a photo of Abarrientos while the pickpocket was doing his thing.
