Fierce fights seen as NCA circuit resumes

THE DERBY circuit of the National Cockers Alliance (NCA) heats up anew on Tuesday next week at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig following the recent 8-cock World Championship Derby.

Hosted by Ito Ynares and Ronnie Puno, Tuesday’s Sagupaan Complexor-sponsored derby will feature cockers Bong Pineda, Atty. Santos, Henry Tan, Manny Kho, lawyer Benny Salazar, Ricky Valencia, Boy Torres, Nene Araneta, Lito Orillaza, Anthony Lim, Rep. Patrick Antonio and Atong Ang (each with an additional entry), and Remy Medrano.

The World Championship Derby saw the “SAP-2” entry of Ador Pleyto and “CPB Benhur” of Rep. Claude Bautista ruling the roost with 7 points, followed by “AA-Virgo” of Atong Ang, with 6.5 points, and “Makati Cocker Club” of Osang dela Cruz, “JU-3rd District Manila” of James Uy, “Super Hummer Diego” of Romy Lim, “AE-GE Jimafer” of Alex and Gerry Escalona, and “Red Lakota” of Jake Javier, each with 6 points.
