MANILA, Philippines — After dropping its first two games in the 2015 PBA Commissioner’s Cup, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel acquired veteran center Dorian Peña in a three-team deal.

The Kings, who started the conference with losses to the Meralco Bolts and the Barako Bull Energy, shipped their backup big man JayR Reyes to the recent champion San Miguel Beermen while the Barako Bull Energy got young power forward Justin Chua in return.

The 37-year-old Peña will add toughness to a Ginebra team which already has a slew of bigs in Greg Slaughter, Japeth Aguilar and Billy Mamaril.

Peña, who is coming off an injury-riddled Philippine Cup outing, had two rebounds, two assists and a block in eight minutes to help Barako Bull beat Ginebra last Sunday in what turned out to be as his last game for the Energy.

Reyes meanwhile, will beef up the Beermen’s frontline which already boasts reigning MVP June Mar Fajardo and reliable role players in Doug Kramer and Rico Maierhofer.

The 25-year-old Chua joins a youthful Barako Bull side as he teams up with rookie Jake Pascual and Dave Marcelo.

Ginebra also acquired the rights to Barako Bull’s 2015 second round pick while the Energy got San Miguel Beer’s 2017 first round pick as part of the deal.
