2015 UFCC kicks off

HOSTILITIES in this year’s 2015 Ultimate Fighting Cock Championships (UFCC) officially kicks off tomorrow at Smart Araneta Coliseum with the first of nine one-day, 6-cock events.

Gerry Ramos, the champion of the recent 2015 World Slasher Cup derby, will be leading the elite roster of participants that will engage in 40 fights.

Also in the roster are the likes of Nene Araneta,  Charlie Ang, Sonny Lagon, Gov. Eddie Bong Plaza, and lone lady cocker Osang dela Cruz, who ruled the UFCC last year and was its Cocker of the Year.

Backed by Thunderbird Bexan XP, Resorts World-Manila, and Solaire Resorts & Casino, the 2015 season will also be held at the Big Dome on Feb. 23, Mar. 9, 21 and 26, Apr. 16, 20 and 27, and May 25. Submission of weights for tomorrow’s is at 2 to 6 p.m. today with the weight limits set from 1.9 to 2.5 kilograms.
