MANILA, Philippines—If it’s not meant to be, then it won’t happen.

Looking back at his team’s campaign in the UAAP Season 77 women’s volleyball tournament, Lady Tamaraws head coach Shaq de los Santos said what’s done is done and it’s all in God’s plans.

“I’m still happy with what we’ve done this season,” De los Santos said after bowing out against National University 13-25, 17-25, 27-25, 23-25 on Saturday evening at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“It’s not yet for us,” he said. “Maybe God has a different plan.”

De los Santos said that he was still hopeful of his team which will only lose two players, libero Tin Agno and Samantha Dawson.

Yna Papa is a graduating senior but still has that fifth year option.

FEU went against University of Santo Tomas and won in five sets to secure the number four spot and go to the stepladder where they ultimately lost to the third seed Lady Bulldogs.

De los Santos said that their win against UST and their heartbreak at the hands of NU would be a stepping stone for them in the future.

“This will be a lesson for us, especially that our roster have so many young players,” De los Santos said.
