MANILA, Philippines — After arriving in the US on Sunday, Manny Pacquiao immediately plunged into training for his super fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“Day 2 of training. Feels good. Thank you fans for always updating my training. God is good all the time. Thank you Lord,” Pacquiao said in one Instagram post.

Since arriving in Los Angeles, Pacquiao has wasted little time as he started working on his conditioning with a four-kilometer morning jog the next day.

The WBO welterweight champion then focused on his timing and hand speed as he shadowboxed, worked the speedball and the heavy bag inside his Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Boxing Club.

Roach, however, is still in China attending to another one of his fighters, Zhou Shiming.

In day 2 of his training, Pacquiao chose to train in the Fortune gym of Justin Fortune, who has been training with Pacquiao while Roach is away.

Mayweather, too, has started his buildup for the May 2 megafight in his gym in Las Vegas where the pound-for-pound king had a couple of famous visitors.
