Mayweather will be hit, hurt more than ever against Pacquiao—Tyson

MANILA, Philippines — Throughout his professional boxing career, Floyd “Pretty Boy” Mayweather Jr. has been practically untouched—his face unblemished just like his 47-0 record.
But things are going to change when he goes up against against Manny Pacquiao on May 2, according to former heavyweight king Mike Tyson.
“He has never really been tested,” Tyson said in an interview with boxingscene.com. “Whatever happens in this fight, I really think that Floyd is going to be hit and hurt more than he has ever been before. We’re going to see how tough he is.”
Tyson thinks Pacquiao’s aggressive approach will force Mayweather to let go more of his punches instead of being at the defensive throughout the fight. And the more Mayweather throws, the more opportunities Pacquiao gets.
“You need to put constant pressure on Floyd, be in front of him all the time moving side to side and punching from angles,” Tyson said. “Manny is going to feint Floyd out of position a lot and make him throw more punches than he is used to and that will open Floyd up.”
Tyson, the former undisputed champion, didn’t say he will be rooting for Pacquiao to win. But from the looks of it, Mayweather will be in for the fight of his life.
