Ateneo’s De Jesus skips Foton volley stint

Ateneo women’s volleyball ace Ella de Jesus, drafted last week by Foton, will skip the coming Philippine Superliga All-Filipino tilt to concentrate on personal and school commitments first.

Foton management said it respects the decision of De Jesus, who promised to play for the team in the next PSL tournament.

Foton boasts a competitive lineup and has signed up new recruits Angeline Pauline Araneta, Pamela Tricia Lastimosa, Royce Estampa and May Jennifer Macatuno.

“We can say the team is ready. It has heart and hustle,” said Foton team manager Alvin Lu.
