/ 11:30 PM April 16, 2015

Philippine pride Rubilen Amit powered Team East to a 4-1 win in the four-on-four event but Team West quickly evened things up with victory by Karen Corr and Jennifer Barretta, 4-2, in doubles Thursday night in the AM8.com Queen’s Cup at Resorts World Manila.

Amit, the skipper of Team Asia, led the charge with her precise shotmaking as the hosts broke the ice in the first event of the unique continental matchup.

Amit, Park Eu-jin of South Korea, Jennifer Chen of Chinese Taipei and World No. 1 Chen Siming of China prevailed over Corr of Ireland, Barretta of the United States, Ewa Laurance of Sweden and Vivian Villareal of the US.
