Rejuvenated Global battles Ceres today

PACESETTER Ceres-La Salle guns for an eighth straight win against a resurgent Global side today in the United Football League at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Perched on top with 21 points, the Bacolod side tries to sustain its form in the 8:15 p.m. clash with the reigning league titlists who are coming off an impressive win in the AFC Cup.

Stallion hopes to climb to second as it faces Green Archers United in the 5:15 p.m. kickoff. Fresh off its first win of the season, Team Socceroo battles Manila Jeepney in a clash of teams at the lower half of the table at 2:15.

The spotlight will be on the Ceres-Global tussle as both teams served up classic matches in the past. The two teams last met in the semifinals of the Smart Club Championship with Global prevailing, 2-1, last January.
