LAS VEGAS — All Floyd Mayweather Jr. needs is about 15 minutes to dispose of his greatest challenge yet in Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao.

Trainer Roger Mayweather doesn’t see Pacquiao lasting longer than five rounds in the ring against his nephew when the two welterweight champions finally meet on May 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena here.

“I believe he’ll knock him out within five rounds,” Roger, a former two-division champion in his own right, told The Telegraph. “I can’t see nothing that Pacquiao can do.

“It’s just a matter of Floyd being focused and doing what he needs to do – and that’s whoop his ass. Let’s get there, get him out the way and go to the next one,” said Roger.

The 53-year-old Roger was usually Floyd Jr.’s head trainer, but not against Pacquiao as health issues prevented him from being the main man in the corner. Floyd Sr. instead, will be at the helm.

The current WBA and WBC welterweight champion Mayweather boasts an impressive 47-0 mark but not really known to have a knockout power. Pacquiao is even considered to be the more superior fighter in terms of punching power, making his uncle’s prediction of an early knockout unlikely but certainly not impossible.

After all, Pacquiao was on his way to winning over Juan Manuel Marquez before he walked straight into the Mexican’s devastating punch with just a second left in the sixth round.
