Tuck makes Tae Hyun submit in UFC Fight Night Manila

He calls himself the Super Saiyan and he proved it.

Jon Tuck went on a blur of attacks and made Tae Hyun Bang submit with a rear naked choke in their lightweight match at UFC Fight Night Manila: Edgar vs. Faber Saturday evening at Mall of Asia Arena.

After landing a massive right hook, Tuck went for the rear naked choke and Tae Hyun tapped at the 3:56 mark of the first round.

True to his nickname, Tuck said he went on another level in the match.

“I went Super Saiyan 2,” Tuck said as he improved to 9-2. “I clipped him, saw him dazed, and went straight to my jiu jitsu.”

Both fighters were calculating each other until Tuck landed his right hook that changed the match.

“This is like my second home,” Tuck, who was born in Guam, said of the Philippines. “The people here adopted me.”

With the loss, Tae Hyun fell to 17-9.
