Army seeks Shakey’s V-L crown vs PLDT today

The Philippine Army will be banking on this edge again when it shoots for the crown against PLDT Home Ultera in the Shakey’s
V-League Season 12 Open Conference today.
“Our championship experience helped us win the opener,” Army coach Rico de Guzman said of his squad, a finalist for three straight conferences.
The Lady Troopers try to sweep the Ultra Fast Hitters in Game 2 of the best-of-three Finals at 12:45 p.m. at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City.
“We expect them to make some adjustments on their attack and defense but we’ll still focus on stopping Alyssa (Valdez),” said de Guzman.
In the first game, Cagayan Valley also vies to finish off Meralco in the battle for third place at 9 a.m.
Banking on Jovelyn Gonzaga and Dindin Santiago-Manabat, the Lady Troopers shocked the Ultra Fast Hitters in a Game 1 upset, 13-25, 25-23, 27-25, 25-22, last Thursday.
