Sun-Visayas juniors badminton up
THE 2nd Sun Cellular National Juniors Badminton Tournament will hold its Visayas leg from June 12 to 14 at Pohang Badminton Center in Bacolod City, two months after staging its Luzon qualifiers in Bulacan.
The tournament is part of MVP Sports Foundation’s effort to comb the countryside for promising shuttlers, according to Christopher Quimpo of Smart Sports.
Online registration at www.suncellularjuniors.com ends this Saturday.

Yolly Araullo of the organizing Fortright Events and Sports Management said entry fee is pegged at P500 for the first event and P200 for the second event.
A team managers’ meeting and draw is set Friday, also at Pohang center. The opening ceremony is set the next day at 8 a.m.
