Manila West starts 3×3 title defense
Manila West faces stiff competition as its quest of defending its home turf begins on Saturday in the 2015 FIBA 3×3 World Tour Manila Masters at Robinsons Ermita.
Winning last year’s Manila leg, the crew bannered by Terrence Romeo, Aldrech Ramos, Nino Canaleta, and Rey Guevarra gets one more go-round in the 3×3 court in hopes of qualifying in this year’s World Tour Finals in Abu Dhabi.
But they will be up against powerhouse teams like Novi Sad and Doha, which will also be gunning for the top two spots in this stage of the 3×3 World Tour.
The Manila West squad already started practicing last Tuesday, and will begin its daily practices on Monday at Meralco Gym under the guidance of coaches John Flores and Eric Altamirano.
Aside from Manila West, the country will also be represented by the Calvin Abueva-led Manila North and the Cebuano team which won the Talk ‘N Text Tatluhan championship.
