Ateneo, UP clash for Spikers’ Turf lead Monday

Out to show better form, Ateneo disputes the solo Group B lead against a University of the Philippines side fresh off an upset win in the Spikers’ Turf Collegiate Conference Monday.

Ateneo coach Oliver Almadro said he wants his veterans to quickly set the tone for a strong start in the 5 p.m. match at Filoil Fllying V Arena in San Juan.

While the Eagles remain wary, NCAA champion Emilio Aguinaldo College stands heavily favored to grab the solo top spot in Group A versus winless Mapua at 1 p.m.

Rebuilding squads Far Eastern University and University of the East fight for their first win in the other Group A match at 3 p.m.
